Tonight, the creative writing capsule presented the fruits of two weeks’ labor at our final reading. We had the upstairs room at Kavárna co hledá jméno, a hip indoor/outdoor café space that furnished our group with multiple rounds of dense hot chocolate. Katie read a mysterious story about a house in the woods, Hannah spat truth about identity and belonging, Abi detailed one man’s agonizing preparation for a blind date, Paloma told of a Kafkaesque lucid dream, Karly’s poems flexed her talent for form, and Kaley took us home with a short story flush with glaring imagery. We couldn’t be more proud of what they’ve generated in so brief a window.
