The great thing about being at the Chateau Hotel Zdíkov, other than the impressive range of decorative taxidermy, is we can take things a little slower – leaving plenty of time to prepare for our upcoming final presentations. On the last day of our trip, Nate’s history capsule will take the entire group on a dynamic historical walking tour, and Veronica’s creative writing capsule will perform a reading of new work composed while here in the Czech Republic. So after a pretty fancy breakfast buffet, students found quiet nooks and crannies to research and write for a few uninterrupted hours. Having a restored hunting lodge as your temporary home office doesn’t hurt.
